About 1000 Sensations

They say “a picture is worth a thousand words”, so a cartoon – words AND pictures – is … going to be worth a lot more than … just pictures. So that’s why I called this site “A Thousand Sensations”.

Cartooning is my oldest ongoing passion, and this is a collection of my cartoon experiments.

Most of these cartoons were produced between 2007 and 2009, while I was working as a creativity and innovation consultant and travelling around Europe all the time.

The “Defining Moments” series are autobiographical cartoons, and the experiment that lasted longest. I drew these in Moleskine notebooks, and some of them I remember drawing while queuing to get through security at various airports.

Then in mid-2008 I got “cartoonist’s block” and the “The Adventures of Marco the Electronic Engineer” series is the result of my block: it involved messing around with my nephew’s action figures, photographing them and then adding captions. Most people would agree that the result is as bad as it sounds, but I had fun doing them, and my few engineer followers enjoyed them.

Dear reader, I hope you find something you like on my blog, and I’d be thrilled if you commented.

Thanks for reading,

Elena
